A Little Crazy…

So I just got back from the DMV, have my learner’s permit finally. It’s been a while… So..

1. I’ve got a show 2 weeks from Sunday. Two sets, one 30 minute kids show, and about an hour of walkaround. Should be a good time. The business cards came in, so it should be great.

2. It was a good trimeister in school. Just got done with my last few projects, here’s one: (not magic, but underground-poker satire inspired by Hitchcock, Nieman (of Shade fame), and Tarantino.

3. iTricks.com is still an amazing site folks (along with the forums down on ellusionist) Keep checking those places out.

So yeah, that pretty much sums it up for this update, stay in touch guys!

It’s been a weird week man, especially coming up with the State of the Union (here we go again..)

1. These threads on bizzare magick really make me wonder how much new magicians know about the history of their craft, as well as how much they trivalize it. Yes, this is a controversial blog, and yes, I’m a christian, but how many non-issues can the Bible belters bring up…Stop caring about what other people do with their own lives and stick with your preaching and praying to each other.

“Unshuffling” Remixed + More…

So I’m in digital video right now, and just did a remix on the “Unshuffling” video. Yeah, its probably old to you by now, but thats ok.

I like the new editing, not my best session, but thats ok…feel free to comment on the page.

I like it, for being my first project anyways. If you can tell, I dig film man. My new backround is a sweet Godfather thing, I will have to post a screenshot sometime when I’m not on the laptop.

In other news, I got on the Penn Jillette Show yesterday, I’m the caller Jon. Yeah, it was pretty awkward, but fun stuff. The podcast version should be out later today hopefully. Penn’s a cool guy, though I got a bad adrenaline high right before they put me on. Hopefully I can find a better topic next time….for the record, they hung up, but I was done, so it was fine.

“Unshuffling”: A J.Rice Session

I’ve been thinking…

I’ve been thinking lately (wow, doesn’t that amaze you all), and the whole deck compilation thing sounds a bit..boring..and tedious. Soooo….

I’m gonna do like a series I think. Each video focusing on a different brand or style of cards. The tenative catagories seem to be:

Bicycle
Tally-Ho’s
Bee
and finnally:

“rare” decks.

Kinda fun. So I’ll get started on that.

In other news, Ellusionist just had an overkill on “gear”, but I did pick up the close-up bag and the Beanie. Expect Reviews of many of the Christmas Things to come.
